Radboudumc

The Radboudumc is an academic medical centre that, in addition to top clinical care and highly specialist care, provides scientific research and education. The hospital has an academic catchment area of approximately 3.2 million people, and is centrally located in Nijmegen.

The Radboudumc wants to continuously lead the way in developing new technologies, treatments and care processes. In 2015, we assisted Radboudumc in developing the business case in which all these new developments were brought together. For Radboudumc, this leads to a strong need to cooperate, network and connect (internally and externally) and to have facilities that can respond to changing processes, capacities and functions. Strengthening the binding factor of the Radboudumc, both physically and organisationally, is essential. Providing high-quality care and working environments, and encouraging encounters and knowledge exchange within the buildings and on the campus, are strongly emphasised in the planning.

The real estate becomes smaller, more sustainable, technologically advanced, more flexible, but, above all, high quality. We have assisted Radboudumc in giving shape to these challenges since 2008, and, in cooperation with the organisation, patients and their relatives, translate them into innovative working practices and new housing concepts in keeping with the mission of the Radboudumc: ‘To have a significant impact on healthcare’.

Furthermore, we support the project office Bouwzaken as strategic adviser for housing, take care of contract management and budget monitoring for the total construction programme, and support policy development. For the renovation and new build projects, we prepare the schedule of requirements, take care of the functional design and supervise the design development. We also take care of the construction project management.
